R. Kannan
 R. Kannan is a researcher with ICICI Research Centre at Centre for Advanced Financial Studies, IFMR. He has done his M.Tech (Chemical) from IIT Mumbai, B.Tech (Chemical) from University of Madras, Diploma in Financial Management from University of Mumbai and Chartered Financial Analyst from ICFAI.
Prior to joining IRC and CAFS, he worked with ICICI Bank limited as General Manager in-charge of Strategy and Analytics Group. He was heading Oil & Gas corporate lending group in ICICI Bank.
He has published several papers in Indian and International Journals on appraisal of projects and presented papers in various institutes. He has delivered lectures on Technical Appraisal of Projects in a number of leading institutions in India. He has served as member in the panel consituted for Man Made Fibre Industry by the Government of India and has prepared several reports for Government of India on industry sectors.
He continues to work as advisor for the projects selected for financing by The Technology Development Board constituted by the Government of India. He is an Invitee to the Executive Board of The Indian Chemical Manufacturer's Association, the apex All-India body of the chemical industry and a member of committee. Presently he is a nominee director of ICICI Bank in:
