R. Chandrasekar

R. Chandrasekar heads Centre for Advanced Financial Studies at IFMR and ICICI Research Centre. He has a Master's degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and an MBA (Finance and Business Economics) from the University of Chicago.

Prior joining to IFMR he worked as a Financial Economist at the Chicago Board of Trade where he worked on the Options on T-Bond Futures, Municipal Bonds and T-Bond futures contracts.

He then joined Dimensional Fund Advisors where he was Vice President and Portfolio Manager in charge of all the fixed income portfolios. He was also the supervisor of the trading room and spent time at the Tokyo and London offices helping to set up and run operations there.

He was the President of Fidelity Finance for a year and has since been an independent financial consultant. His interests include bonds, derivatives and financial markets.
